The CAS Project has been by far, one of the more challenging projects we've had to do.
It required us to manage our time well as only 2 labs have the ACCPAC programme installed in them so it was important that we start during the 2 week term break which we had. We met up a couple of times in that period but mostly during the period following that. To be honest, I am glad that I had the other members who took the initiative to lead and start on the project as I am a bit of a procrastinator myself ): Through this, I have learnt that time management is vital. Also, it was important that work was split up as only one person can key in the information at any one time, making teamwork another important quality. In this project, I have also tried to communicate more with my team members. It not only improved my communication skills but also served to help me understand my classmates better.
In the course of the whole project, I managed to prepare the entries for posting, checked the GL entry form and some other little things here and there. We had to re-do some parts a few times due to minor error in data input such as the dates and it was rather frustrating for us at times. However, we preserved and managed to complete the project in time ^^
Tough as it may be, I now have a better understanding of the programme and how it works. This would be useful in my field of work in the future and I am glad to be given the opportunity to be given a hands on experience of it.
